CCRA Bible Study: Growing Together in the Word

The Canadian Christian Recreational Association (CCRA) is excited to invite you to join our new CCRA Bible Study Group, led by Richard Gooderidge.

This will be a welcoming opportunity to come together, study God’s Word, ask questions, share insights, and grow in faith alongside others in the CCRA community.

First Study: The Book of Philippians

Our first Bible study series will focus on Philippians and will run for six Sundays, beginning August 16 and concluding September 20, 2026.

We understand that schedules may not always line up. CCRA Bible Study will be an ongoing program, with additional Bible study sessions and topics offered in the future.

I acknowledge that participation in recreational sports and activities organized by the Canadian Christian Recreational Association (CCRA), including but not limited to physical and other faith-based recreational activities, and other athletic programs, involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, or death, as well as potential damage to personal property.



In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation and agree to release, waive, and hold harmless the Canadian Christian Recreational Association (CCRA), its organizers, affiliated churches, team managers, volunteers, directors, officers, employees, coaches, umpires, assignes, agents, representatives, and sponsors (collectively referred to as the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, or liabilities of any kind, whether arising from negligence or otherwise.



This waiver applies to any and all activities, events, travel, and participation associated with CCRA programs, including decisions made by the Released Parties in the course of organizing and administering such activities.

I agree to conduct myself in a respectful, sportsmanlike, and Christ-centered manner at all times while participating in any Canadian Christian Recreational Association (CCRA) activity.



I understand that I am expected to:


Treat all participants, officials, volunteers, and spectators with respect and dignity
Demonstrate good sportsmanship and fair play
Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
Follow all rules, guidelines, and decisions made by league officials and organizers



I acknowledge that failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including removal from games, suspension, or expulsion from the league without refund.

I acknowledge that the Canadian Christian Recreational Association (CCRA) will collect, use, and store my personal information for the purposes of registration, program administration, communication, safety, and organizational operations.



I consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of my personal information in accordance with CCRA’s Privacy Policy, including communication related to league updates, schedules, events, and organizational activities.



I understand that reasonable measures will be taken to protect my personal information and that it will not be shared beyond what is necessary for program delivery, legal compliance, or organizational operations.



I further consent to the use of photographs, videos, or media content captured during participation for promotional, marketing, and community engagement purposes, unless I provide written notice to opt out.

PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA NOTICE:
PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA NOTICE



As part of normal CCRA programs, leagues, events, tournaments, activities, workshops, and recreational experiences, photographs and video recordings may be taken for promotional, educational, historical, and communication purposes.




Participants should be aware that images and video footage captured during CCRA activities may be used in CCRA publications, promotional materials, newsletters, social media platforms, websites, annual reports, presentations, and other organizational communications.




Photographs are typically taken in group settings, during recreational activities, game play, special events, award presentations, community gatherings, and other program-related experiences.




As a matter of practice, CCRA does not identify participants by name in photographs or videos unless separate permission has been obtained or the individual is participating in a specific featured story, interview, testimonial, or recognition initiative.




By participating in CCRA programs, leagues, events, and activities, participants acknowledge that photography and videography may occur as part of the overall recreational experience and that such images may be used by CCRA for organizational and promotional purposes.




CCRA is committed to using all photographs and media respectfully, appropriately, and in a manner consistent with its Christian values and mission.

By completing this registration, I confirm that I am voluntarily participating in programs offered by the Canadian Christian Recreational Association (CCRA) and that I am physically able to participate.



I agree to abide by all rules, policies, procedures, and by-laws established by CCRA, including those related to safety, conduct, and participation.



I acknowledge that registration fees are subject to the organization’s no refund policy as outlined on the registration platform, program credits only.



I further understand that CCRA reserves the right to make decisions regarding scheduling, league structure, and program delivery in the best interest of participants and the organization.
